![]() ![]() ![]() Hello all, I am a new user to Kyma, and have a question related to the walkthrough. Specifically, following the instructions on p. 21 of that document, I clicked on the layouts on the top right of the VCS of the Harmonic resonator (before replacement) in order to bring up a different layout; but the VCS continued to default to the former. When I tried to unlock the VCS to get to the editor, it would not allow that action, so I had to drag the sound from the browser into a new window before editing. Since I am trying to get off on the right foot and absorb these basic processes before proceeding, I would appreciate some feedback to let me know what I am missing here. Thanks, Bob IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Did you click on the down-arrow just to the right of the list of layouts? You have to click on the arrow, not on the name of the layout itself, maybe that is what went wrong? (I tried the example on that page just now and was able to change layouts to the top layer without any problems. You don't have to unlock the VCS to change the selected layout) [This message has been edited by SSC (edited 09 May 2002).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, I did click on the arrow, which brought up the mini-menu of choices. It was from that point, when I tried to select the option above the default layout, that that the VCS failed to bring up a new layout. I've moved on from that point in the walkthough, but I would sure like to get that down so that when I actually begin compiling layouts, presents and the rest I will not have to worry about not being able to merge the combined VCS's. Maybe I'll give you a call on Monday morning, with that screen up, to walk through the matter. Thanks, Bob IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for calling and for scaring this rodent out of hiding (it had moved into version 5.22). It has been exterminated (don't ask) and we will post a new version sometime this week. Watch for an announcement of details in the next Eighth Nerve. Thanks! IP: Logged |
