![]() ![]() ![]() As my Kyma X learning curve adventure continues, (and word leaks out that I have one) I'm starting to get the inevitable odd questions from my colleagues. While I've succesfully fielded most of them, I thought I'd consult the collective wisdom. 1. Is it possible to implement an Ambisonics format B encoder or decoder with real time manipulation in Kyma? 2. Is it possible to implement Vector Based Panning? For #1, I took a cursury look at the Ambisonics material out there and it doesn't seem to be much of a big deal. However, looking into the panning and spatialization prototypes, I didn't see anything that could provide a good starting point. Has anyone done any work with this? For #2 I couldn't find anything that described this well enough to get my arms around it Only that there seems to be some benefit to it over existing panning methods. Any enlightened ones out there? Thanks in advance for any curiousity satisfaction. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() some time ago there was a discussion going on about that topic: http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&n umber=7&topic=000070 And in the back of my mind I remember there should be also another thread somewhere in the archives of that forum. Try searching for it. still owing some scans of my aes papers. Maybe I should buy a scanner sometime...
