Author | Topic: demand for kyma controllers. |

![]() ![]() ![]() with the demise of motormix there doesn't seem to be a lot of great options for fader/rotary/switch controllers for the kyma. my ideal is: 16 - 100mm motorized faders auto-mapping basically an updated motormix but with all the copy/paste/etc controls stripped out but at 16 rather than 8 across. if anyone knows of anything other than motormix, i'd love to know but at this point I just can't think of anything close unless SSC start supporting Mackie (and you would have to repurpose rec/solo/mute for more general use switches). my question is: and more importantly, is there demand if the price approaches $2k. how desirable would be a x/y controller or joystick? with all the other great equipment out there a quality controller seems surprising hard to find. the novation remote series had promise but just are not inspiring to use with the short fader throws, cheap plastic, and cramped design layout. ![]() ![]() ![]() My vote also goes for the Mackie MCU, but I prefer the Pro version because of the USB connection. http://mackie.com/products/mcupro/index.html And if there's a need for more faders you can simply expand it with Extender unit, or more knobs the C4 Pro unit. http://www.mackie.com/products/c4pro/ PS: My Motormix still don't have any problems after 6 years!
