Hello!

whats the simplest way to send the MIDI clock from a sound ( like a BPM value ) out as a standard MIDIclock to sync other studio equipment?

Also, whats the simplest way to acknowledge clockStart and clokStop states from an incoming MIDIclock?

There's an example on the tweaky share:
http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/bin/view/Share/Sounds#MIDI

the Sound called:

OutputMIDITimingClock.kym by KurtHebel: Send MIDI timing clock messages to Capybara MIDI out

Finally got around to trying to use this bpm: clocked MIDImessage method to a sync from Capy to my other equipment.

The G2 clocks in always a few BPM less than the BPM its supposed to be clocking, and same with the Korg ESX1 drum computer, neither keeps a solid sync, which is a real shame - has anyone managed to get a solid sync from Kyma to anything external?

bump...

I'm going to bump this topic up, because I think its very important that Kyma can sync properly over MIDI.. I'm surprised that I'm having problems with such an accurate digital system as Kyma, and its making things hard for me in live situations.. so any assistance would be appreciated

Great - that sends a much steadier and correct clock , thanks!

Now, I need to find out how to send Clock Start and Clock Stop messages, so that all the machines start and stop at the same time under Capy control

just found..

F8 Clock
F9 (undefined)
FA Start
FB Continue
FC Stop
FD (undefined)
FE Active Sensing
FF System Reset

but SSC, i'm interested to know what you updated in the MIDIclock send sound? Looks like the tick/pulse that sends the MIDImessage went 'under the bonnet'? why would this fix the clock slip?
