Question One:
Will there ever be a way to get the raw digital audio generated by the current generation of paca(rana) hardware directly into a host computer's DAW program without having to go through TWO separate, (expensive and sometimes "temperamental") interfaces? [I used to do this all the time with my old Capybara and it was simply great! I seriously miss those days. I just spent an entire evening unsuccessfully trying to get clean audio through the signal path I had available tonight (Apogee Duet and MOTU Audio Express)... with absolutely miserable results.]

Question two:
If there really is no chance of this every happening, I'd appreciate suggestions on what two (modestly priced) interfaces I should purchase in order to get stereo digital audio from my pacarana directly into my host computer's DAW.

Behringer offers a low cost FireWire interface that has SPDIF digital connection and that can work with Paca(rana):

If you would like some assistance in getting your current set up working, please send us an email detailing the signal path and we will take it from there. Thanks!

Any chance that a Behringer FCA1616 would also work with a Pacarana? http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FCA1616

It is likely to work, but we have not confirmed this. If you get it from a store that allows returns, it would be worth the experiment.

Thanks!
