![]() ![]() ![]() First time morphing - For a test we're working on, i've been asked to make a smooth transition from a dog-bark to a car engine; I've tried aligning the files using the Tau editor I still get allot of artifacts trying to morph the two sounds. I understand that choosing the right sounds to begin with, is an important key to success. Could anyone point me to some technics which may bring me to the best results ? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() In thinking about the two sounds, a dog bark sometimes sounds like a violent puff of air or rough exhaling; this might correspond to one spark cycle of a car engine. So maybe if you can find a car recording where you can hear the individual putt-putt-putt, maybe during a slow idling or 'deiseling', then you could morph from the air puff of the dog to the single puff from the car. At the same time, you could gradually speed up the frequency of the barks and the putts until you end with a fast whirring engine. If you can find a motorcycle or car idling, you might be able to mark single impulses as cycles using the Tau editor (by restricting the analysis frequency range). Once you have an analysis like that, you can change the "RPM" to rev up the motor. IP: Logged |
