![]() ![]() ![]() I was just re-reading the chapter, Writing Your Own Tools in the book. I'm not about to start down this road , well not yet anyway, as I imagine for me it would take a lot of learning and fumbling around, but ... Would it be possible to build a sequencer environment as a tool? I was day-dreaming of programming a simple Protracker style sample sequencer, but with Kyma as the sound engine , with a (scrolling) textlist as pattern programming visual feedback and the ability to pattern jump on the fly and load in samples on the fly. Do you think this could be coded using the Tool Editor? I guess it can also be done using analogue sequencers and indexed disk sample players as a complex performance sound. anyway, what tools have people made ? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Is there a clock as a tool? Would be useful to have a large minute:second clock for performance - the small run-time clock in Kyma mis too small to see in performance. Cheers, Garth IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Not *exactly* what you are describing but might be useful: I created some examples of ways to display the passage of time in the VCS using SoundToGlobalControllers. One idea was to count seconds with giant, labelled, LED-like squares. Might be easier to keep track of in a live performance than a regular stopwatch display. http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/bin/view/Share/Sounds#VCS The Sound named stopWatches.kym IP: Logged |
