Author | Topic: send messages to VCS synched to a TimeLine? |

![]() ![]() ![]() This one should be easy for someone familiar with the feature. I seem to remember that it was added a couple of years ago. (My recollection is that I saw it demonstrated at the KISS in St. Cloud.) But I can't find references to it or figure it out myself. Can anyone shed light on this feature? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Can you say a bit more about what you'd like to do? By send messages, do you mean things like select presets and layout? If that's what you meant, you can do this by double clicking a Marker and setting the preset and layout that will be selected when the time cursor passes that Marker. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry for not being clear. I want a message (text) to show up in the VCS or on the timeline or in a dedicated box like the clock (or somewhere on the screen) when the timeline gets to a certain spot. So ... for example, with the timeline running in a performance, at 1:00 a message shows up stating "waiting for f#5" ... then at 1:15 it a similar message shows up stating "waiting for C4" ... etc. I thought I saw something like this demoed at a KISS event in St. Cloud. ![]() ![]() ![]() Maybe you could create .png images with those messages and have ImageDisplay step through and trigger them one at a time. IP: Logged |
