Yep, the image is there. The one of the face is anyway; the others I presume are there but I haven't checked out firsthand. Metasynth is one of the few Mac programs that I -- being a humble PC user -- still envy in a serious way after having gotten my Kyma system.

There's a little shareware hack called "Coagula" that runs under Windows and will let you do something similar, but it only works in one direction (image -> sound, but not the reverse) and is not nearly as full featured. It's here: http://hem.passagen.se/rasmuse/Coagula.htm

There's also a shareware granular synthesis hack called Granulab which I used to play with before there was Kyma in my life. Heh..

for sound to image conversion and back again try here:

Freeware prog, can be a bit unstable when using higher block sizes, so beware. Nice to use in combination with Coagula and any other images or sounds you like. Just dont expect sonically accurate results.
