Has anyone had any experience using the Bheringer B-CONTROL FADER BCF2000 with the Kyma? Is it compatible?

I posted a similar question a few months ago. It doesn't work because Kyma can maintain two-way communication only with the motormix. I was hoping that the rotary version (the BCR2000)would work if it was capable of sending deviation from position values instead of absolute midi values, but I borrowed one and tried it, and it doesn't work. Maybe it's possible to get the BCR working by adding some code in the right place on the kyma side though (since it wouldn't require Kyma to communicate with it if it can respond to deviation from previous value), but I didn't try that. Still, that would only apply the BCR, the BCF definitely won't work (for obvious reasons).

That's too bad, because those boxes cost a fraction of what the mortormix costs. But I think the motormix is worth every penny you pay for it (I'm about to get one myself actually). It would be very nice if Kyma could communicate with other motorized fader boxes, especially since there are many that one already finds in studios for other purpposes, such as the digi 002 or some digital mixers. I don't think too many people (outside the Kyma community) are using the motormix for protools control these days either. But the motormix works fine with kyma, and I'm sure SSC has much more interesting things to do right now than implementing compatibility for other boxes.

Hope this helps.
