![]() ![]() ![]() When I went off on vacation, I brought along my i-Book, which runs my Kyma system. Before reattaching the firewire cable upon my return, I had worked on some other material not using Kyma or the i-Book, but with the Capy (and the firewire box) powered up automatically. Although I subsequently reattached the firewire cable to the i-Book (yes, power on my entire rig was off), when I booted up Kyma yesterday, I began experiencing major problems: incredibly long time for the program to load, and at that the loading seemed to progress only when I intermittently moved the track ball; after loading, it took ages for a Timeline to compile and play (also needed movement of trackball); and several sound modules that I separately compiled did not produce any sound. I think I have a problem with my Kyma Firewire; is it fatal? Thanks, Bob IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Under Energy Saver Control Panel: Click on Advanced Settings Tab Three options at the bottom should be off (Allow processor cycling, Reduce processor speed, Increase application idle time) (Maybe when your iBook was on vacation it decided to slow down and increase its idle time? ![]() IP: Logged |
