![]() ![]() ![]() Dear All, this is my first post to the list, I am a brand new kyma user (and, if it needs to be said, I feel so happy about this machine). Everything has worked perfectly but, since yesterday, it seems that I have a little pb with my capy, since after a few low digital noises I heard a bigger one (qkqhfhfkhzz), afterwhich no sound got properly out of the capy / I tried all connexions, checked the preferences, and when checking the status window was quite surprised to see the inputs going in the red, whilst there was no signal coming in. Could you please help me solve this pb as soon as possible ? Best regards, laurent mialon IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Laurent-- To determine whether the problem is with the Capy itself or with the audio I/O module, please try using the digital input and output to see whether that works properly. If you don't have a source of digital in or out, please try playing a simple Sound like a sine wave oscillator using Info>Oscilloscope. If these work, then there is nothing wrong with the Capy motherboard, just the I/O. Regarding the I/O, have you connected the Capybara outputs to a mixer that has phantom power on those channels? (Phantom power can damage the Capybara outputs). When you heard the noise, did you notice any (gasp) smoke? Or a plastic-like smell? For an urgent problem like this, it is usually better to contact us directly by email or telephone to get immediate help (rather than the forum which is usually devoted to more general-interest discussions and may not receive as fast a response. Thanks!) IP: Logged |
