Is there a way to use 4-channel Sounds like "Matrix4" or "Mono to Quad Joystick" in a Timeline? I can't seem to get outputs 3 & 4.

Also, suppose I want to *rotate* a stereo image in quad - I can do it in a Sound, but can't make it work in the Timeline.

The Timeline is assuming that each track is Mono and that all panning is done using the Panner and Angle controls. To move a 4-output Sound into the Timeline, it's necessary to open it up and place one of its inputs at a time, each into its own track.

If you drag a stereo Sound into the mono track, it will continue to play as a proper stereo signal; however, the stereo signal does not follow the panner and angle functions around.

To rotate a stereo signal in quad, place the left in its own track and the right in it own track, use the track Angle to set each of them to its initial position. Then use Panner to "modulate" that position from 0 to 2. That will rotate the sound source in a full circle from its initial position.
