Is anyone using this? I purchased this, and my initial reaction is that there are problems with some of the sounds using the latest versions of Kyma (I'm using 6.13). I thought that this was a new update, but it looks like this software was last revised close to a couple of years ago, or longer for most of the objects.

I'm hoping that this is user error, but I'm going through the tutorial of this thing, and I'm finding that despite the fact that the directions are clear, and the descriptions are clear, I am getting very inconsistent results when it comes to my audio actually getting played back.

I'm wondering if compatibility/incompatibility can be verified. I do have an email in to Greentea Software, but it took days to get my serial number, so I'm not sure I'll get a fast response.

Sorry, no answer from me...
I was interested by LCK but waited to see user comments.
What are the kind of problems did you encounter?

Well, I just started going through the tutorial, and first found that I had to edit most of the examples (beyond the first 3 or so) so that they would actually play back the audio after recording. What was supposed to happen is that when the file reached the predetermined example length (20 seconds in the examples) it would start looping the recording. This indeed happened with the first several examples. But then the examples don't work as described. It seems to be tied to a StopTrigger sound that they start defining as !recGate instead of !StopTrig as in the earlier examples. So (and this is really a guess on my part), now when you click the recGate box, playback is turned off. But when you uncheck the box, it doesn't play back either. Recording IS taking place - it's playback that seems disabled due to the setup of the examples. So, either I'm totally misunderstanding what is supposed to be happening, or something has changed in the way that the examples work (I'm assuming that they worked at one time).

So, I was able to edit these examples to get playback, but then I moved on to another example that didn't play back at all, and didn't have an easy StopTrig sound to edit, so I gave up. I find the Kyma X Revealed examples to work as advertised, so I am really at a loss here as to why I just simply can't get these to work. But all of the files seem to have been last updated in 2002, with a few in 2003, and the documentation mentions Kyma V, so I wonder whether this all works properly in Kyma VI.

I've had LCK for a couple of years - don't use it very much, but the crossfade looping capability is pretty nice.

I just tried a few examples, as well as some programs of my own which use the LCK prototypes - it seems to be working for me.

Kyma 6.13

Some of them work for me also.

What about, for instance, the SimpleLooper? That did not play back audio for me. The example that they provide in the tutorial is just a simple input into that prototype.

And if it works for you, what could the problem possibly be? (still hoping that it is mental derangement)
