ahhh... more patience was required - it took about two or three minutes to cache and then play on my machine.

Nice I didn't know you could change a widget type without going into VCS edit mode. Very handy!

Also, I notice in the screen shots there is a 'Special' menu.
What's that for? Do all Mac-Kyma users have this menu or is this menu for, um, 'Special' people

I forgot about that menu (it's in the development version, not in the release). Nothing very special in that menu (despite its name , just the microsound development tools for Capybara assembly language.

He heh, thought as much

Hey, SSC can we have a "Sound Deconstructed" article on the intro sound to these videos?
One part it sounds very much like one of the beautiful percussive sounds from the sound track of Elusive movie by Tobias Enhus - Moore's Lullaby - http://ssc-media.com/Movies/Elusive.mov - I am just in love with the percussion sounds in it.

I'm sure there is some SlipStick going on in there and some CrossFiltering as well but the rest of is mystifies me.

...using Kyma modal filters, Harm Visser's physical modelling toolkit for Kyma, CrossFilters and his own vocal synthesis algorithm implemented in Kyma and performed live with Max Mathew's Radio Baton...

and stuff

Thanks for taking the time to do the tuorials SSC - changing the widget type without the VCS editor and moving whole signal flows with shift are new to me - all that helps workflow!!
