Charlie, I noticed on your tweak topic "My Brain Hurts" (http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/bin/view/Learn/MyBrainHurts ), you mention creating a Logic Autofilter clone. Would you be interested in sharing it? I ask because I also created a sound based on the auto-filter years ago (it is posted up on the tweaky) and am curious to see how you went about it.

Btw, I agree with your advice overall, though I deviated at step 4. I had a prolonged period where I would create sounds that would mangle sounds which I would then chop up and use in a DAW rather than a real-time effect unit. Sometimes it basically was processing entire stems in non-realtime and then importing them back for mix down. I still don't use the timeline like I should. It is wonderfully powerful. I codified some ways of working with Kyma in my head that pre-date the timeline which I need to break myself of.

My summary advice would be: stay focused, don't worry about what you don't know, and ask questions.

Ahh yes the Autofilter, amazingly I have found my folder of bits, I have a couple of mono versions, one with the amplitude following, and one with the LFO, it looks like I had started a stereo version, but got stuck trying to make the phase control to control the stereo width when modulated. I had not looked at 'Fatness' or the distortion section.

I know understand how to use the channel joiners/choosers for sensible stereo configurations. (tis nice to see things do progress)

I will see if I can assemble it all.

Will most likely be need some help if it is to be the ultimate autofilter. MM bars and beats for the LFO could be interesting.

Ok, It is on! (BTW planning to start finishing the SoundShare on Boxingday)

The wife is back early from work in half an hour or so, the house is a mess and I am still sat in my dressing-gown investigating stereoisms. (all day LOL)

Move like ya got a purpose!
