Ever since I have upgraded to Kymx X and Windows XP, I my Motor Mix doesn't display the Kyma lables on its LCD. I don't think the Motor Mix is broken because it works fine when used with Sonar. Oddly, all the faders, knobs and buttons work just fine.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Since it is a new copy of the software, have you edited the Preferences to select the Motor Mix? You have to click on Performance and select the MotorMix as your MIDI controller in order for Kyma to send labels and fader positions to the MotorMix.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, the Motor Mix is selected in the preferences. The faders, knobs and buttons all work. Movements on the VCS make the faders move, and vica vera. Only the labels don't work.

It sounds like system exclusive messages are getting filtered out. There might be a setting on your MIDI interface software that filters out sysex messages.

That's it. I turned off my MIDI Switcher software, MIDI-OX, and wired up the MIDI cables manually. The labels are working! Thanks.

Now I have to figure out how to get it working with MIDI-OX. It's a very powerful program, but not all that easy to use.

In MidiOX:
1-Options>MidiFilter

you'll find what you need to pass sysex.
