Hi Garth, I've just been clearing up some old papers and found an article in the November 1982 edition of "Wireless World" that discusses this... it provides circuit diagrams for binaural-to-speakers and speakers-to-binaural conversions. But like anything at that time, it used phase shifts rather than high quality time delays - I think we could do a better job nowadays. I'll have a look at it over the weekend and see if I can work out something constructive. Regards Dave IP: Logged |

There are a few examples of creating a stereo illusion from a mono sample in the Kyma Sound Library. The examples include ones that just change the signal power and ones that include inter-aural delays. IP: Logged |
