I am trying to use Spectral Modifiers to attenuate subs amd lowermids before resynth.

But I don't know if its just my sound ( which is getting complicated already) I cant seem to get it to work the way I imagine when I put 3 modifiers in series.

So the first is full bandwidth , 50hz to 14K and in Select mode with various modifiers including a FreqMult of 0.4 .

then I put that into another SpecMod, which is in Select and HearAll mode.. I try and select a band of 50 hz to 120 hz and use the AmpScale to attenuate.. Then feed the output of that into another SpecMod attenuating the 120 hz to 400 hz range... But it doesn't seem to work - lows and subs still get through the sieve...

Any thoughts?

Hi Christian

I don't know if I'm understanding, but if the first mod is cutting anything below 50Hz and then pitching down by 0.4 it means you will get frequencies of anything above (0.4 * 50Hz) 20Hz.
The later two sieve out 50 Hz to 400Hz, so you would expect signals of 20Hz to 50Hz of the original signal pitched down to still get through.

have I missed something here?

Pete
