![]() ![]() ![]() I've been attempting to edit the Tuning tool to also enable it to read Scala Files (http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/scala/) but I am unable to to overide the txt file type. The tuning files have the .scl extension, but are in fact ascii text files. Is there there a way of doing this within Capytalk without converting the original file to a .txt file? Thanks, Andrew IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Since you are editing the Tool, you have probably already seen where it says HostDriverInterface textFileType. You should be able to change this to anyFileType. IP: Logged

Instead using unix commands sed & awk, I wrote a shell script (sclParser.sh) which converts the scl files into Kyma readable files within the EqualTemperament part of the Tuning tool. Unpack the archives and load respectively as SCALENAME.scl.parsed.txt The file "0000 File Parsing" illustrates how you can parse other scl files using the script on a unix command line. I've not tried out every scale (3000+) ! but if you find any problems let me know IP: Logged
