![]() ![]() ![]() Hi I'm new so please bear with me. I want to midi sequence a Sound in Kyma. The manual says: "If you would prefer to use your software sequencer as a source of MIDI note events and MIDI controllers, connect the MIDI output from your computer’s MIDI interface to the MIDI input on the back of the Capybara. Then, connect the MIDI output from the Capybara to one of the MIDI inputs on your computer’s MIDI interface." So, does this mean that there is no way to sequence a sound from within Kyma? I mean, there is no piano roll or other tool to sequence a sound? Does this mean I literally have to run a midi cable from my computer's midi out to the Kyma box's converter's midi in? ![]() ![]() ![]() You could use AnalogSequencer 16-Stage or one of the other prototypes whose names begin with "AnalogSequencer". IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah get the midi cable going, compose sending midi notes to the Kyma from your DAW, (with or without sync. depending if you need timeline or not) Once the part is composed, export it as a MIDI file, drag it into the MidiVoice prototype midi file input, Then bounce it internally on the Kyma, without the DAW playing, This way the timing is perfect. Many cases simply don't require this level of accuracy, however if the sequencing involves lots of 16th notes etc, you will definitely enjoy the results. Do an A/B comparison recording! well worth it. Hope this helps Charlie IP: Logged |
