To search the forum for references to keywords in previous posts:
1. Click Search link at upper right
2. Do NOT fill in keyword on the next page
3. Instead, click the link at the bottom of that page where it says:
"Note: if you need to search private forums, click here instead."
4. Proceed as per the instructions on the page
(Note: it will ask you to select one forum at a time for seaching)

We'll just have to keep on posting in this topic, so it doesn't get burried in the forum...

No wonder I haven't been able to find anything.

Search is still pretty awful though. Not getting many search hits for things that I'd expect to find.

This forum software was written in 2000. Eeek! If there is anything I'd like to see improved with the community site, this would be it.

Gonna start going through all the threads manually. I guess there aren't that many really.

Hey Peeps

I agree, forum update would be spectacular. (also posting to keep this one up top..)

I was looking for a post from someone that I discovered when having problem getting Logic > Kyma MTC sync going. I now know the solution is to make sure Logic is not a day ahead in time-code offset. (had me confused one afternoon)
However could not repeat the same combination of keywords that brought it up so that I could post an answer.. (well we did establish my dumb ass status.... )

:-)

Charlie

+1 for forum update and improved search facility... (actually just improved searching would be fine)

I'd like to see a merging of the tweaky with this forum into a single kyma resource.

Just as a side note - the Drupal content management system would be a suitable candidate; allowing user logins, forums, search functions, file uploads, media support amongst other functionality (due to its modular structure) and it is open source / free. Would just need a web server (ideally linux) to host the site - i.e. on the symbolicsound.com server?
