Author | Topic: One fader -> Multiple values; except if sourced from OSCulator? |

![]() ![]() ![]() Am enjoying the videos from the recent KISS symposium. The topic of One fader controlling multiple values reminded me of an issue I was having with this. I wanted to control several parameters via, for example, !WiiPitch - however I was finding that I could only get one parameter to respond; other parameters also mapped to !WiiPitch were being ignored. I got around it by assigning !WiiPitch several times over to other !HotValues via multiple instances of 'SoundToGlobalController'. So, I'm wondering if !WiiPitch can indeed control multiple parameters without my workaround. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Had you entered !WiiPitch into each of the parameter fields? Or were you using right+click on a widget to map it in the VCS? Mapping of multiple fader widgets to a single external control works on the Paca(rana). Entering !WiiPitch into each parameter field should work on both Capybara and Paca(rana). ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually I think I ended up with a combination of the two!! (As I was trying to get the multiple control to work.) So, I'll check out my sound again. So setting a controller (to WiiMote) via the VCS would only allow for one WiiPitch? (Would make sense actually.) Whilst putting !WiiPitch in the field for each parameter to be controlled via WiiPitch from OSCulator? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the clue - I just did a quick test with two sounds in a mixer. 1) Set a widget to respond to WiiPitch and then set a second widget to WiiPitch in the VCS. The second assignment appears to override the first assignment. So, removing the second assignment allows the first widget to respond to WiiPitch again. 2) Assigning two hot parameters as !WiiPitch allows for simultaneous control via WiiPitch without having to use the VCS to assign the control! I've used the Wii controls many times without problems before but really got this sound wrapped around myself! ;-) IP: Logged |
