anyone else experienced what sounds like a click in the delaylines when using EugenioReverb above 48K ?

I just ran the basic unmodified prototype at 48 sounds smooth but 88.2 and 96 has this clicking in the feedback. I am using a Studio Konnekt.

Yes, I am seeing this. Pacarana with 8GB memory expansion, MOTU Traveller MK3. See also http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&number=1&topic=001114

Clicks seem to be 4096 samples apart and not an issue with the audio interface --- they're there even if recording to disk.

SSC, can you reproduce this? It really is an issue....non-44.1k sample rates seem to be the unloved stepchild in Kyma at the moment, the EuVerb zippers, the RE/EX analysis seems to dislike any non-44.1k SR, my motu doesn't enjoy multiples of 48k....

Cheers,
Denis

This issue is still around in the X.75 release.

There seems to be an issue with the MOTU driver for sample rates > 44.1. We're working on a solution. (For now, the temporary workaround would be to use 44.1 until this is corrected. Thanks).

The TC driver does not exhibit the problem that Denis reported. Cristian, could you please record an example of the issue you are reporting and email it to us? Thanks!

I actually think they're different issues. If I recall correctly, the MOTU drivers work OK at multiples of 44.1k sample rate, and don't at multiples of 48k. The EuVerb, on the other hand, exhibits the zippers at any rate above 48k (while 48 works OK).

Also, the EuVerb zippers appear even when recording to disk.

Are you saying that there is zipper noise when you change a parameter (and if so, which one)? Could you please make a short recording of the noise and send it to us by email? Thanks!

Thanks for sending the file, Chris.

EuVerb problem has been fixed (in next release).

EuVerb makes use of HarmonicResonators as internal delay lines. In order to get identical delay times at a faster sample rates, we had to allocate additional memory for the HarmonicResonator delay lines, dependent on SR. Now EuVerb sounds the same at all sample rates on the Paca(rana).

Still working on the MOTU driver mystery. More soon....

Cool, that was fast. I thought it might be some buffer not scaling up with SR because the clicks were always 4096 samples apart. Appears that the hunch wasn't entirely off :-)
