Is anyone using an UltraMobile PC or a very small laptop with Kyma? I am looking at a small deveice to run Kyma for performances when traveling. It needs to have firewire for the Flame - most I have looked at only seem to have USB2.

Thanks for your advice

Cheers, Garth

Unless you don't need visual feedback, I wouldn't go for UMPC.

Haven't tried these, but here are a few to investigate:

You might try varying your searches between FireWire and 1394. Please let us know what you find out. Thanks!

Thanks for the links - there are a range of options out there - I have not actually used any except the very small VIAO. I have been thinking re small screen realestate that it would be great to be able to dynamically change the VCS - currently I use buttons that light up and change colour to indicate the position in a work and I lay them out accross the VCS, but it would be good if I could have one or two and change their text and colour dynamically so I could do the same kind of things on a very small screen? Any thoughts on how to approach that?

PS Kyma on iPhone would be cool :-)

Cheers

Garth

It has a Firewire port and looks very portable
