Author | Topic: Continuous Controller data in midi files |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi SSC, I have been recording Kyma being triggered by a Cubase midi track back into Cubase and have encountered some issues with timing response. The audio interface outputting the midi is an RME fireface 400 so I doubt its midi timing is an issue. The Kyma audio interface is a tc.electronic Konnect 24D. Is ignoring the CC data in a midi file normal? Happy Easter all. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The MIDI continuous controller data is played back along with the MIDI note data so it should be controlling the hot parameters in your Sound. Did you use controllers that directly map to MIDI continuous controllers (like !cc01), or did you create new controllers using the global map, or did you map the MIDI controllers in the VCS? The MIDIVoice (when playing back from a MIDI file) can control the first two types of controllers, but does not know about mappings made in the VCS. If you used the VCS to do the mapping, you can replace the MIDIVoice with a MIDIMapper Sound and create a local map that contains the mappings you had made in the VCS. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks SSC, I did use the learn function in the vcs. I'll try your suggestion. Regards, Sean IP: Logged |
