i want to ctrl cutoff via midi, since midi is to course this results in hearable steps which are ugly, i now tryed to smooth the changes, but now fast changes are not possible anymore.
is there another way smooth midi values or in general to interpolate between two values other than smooth:
?
thx

Hi
In Pete's modules is a Slew rate limiter. This limits the change to a maximum rate linearly. I'm not sure that it will be any better if it is feeding into a hot parameter field that is limited to 1khz steps but it might be worth a try. Small and slow changes will not be affected in any way, but big and fast changes will. You can have a different up and down rate which might help aswell.

Pete.

Another trick if, say your control is in Hz , is to convert it to nn, then do the smooth: , then convert it back again. Or visa versa depending on what you are using.
