Hello!

I noticed that my today arrived Space Mouse is working in that way, that speaking of values from
0 to 1 it´s start position is like expected 0.5. But when going up or down it never goes over 0.75 and 0.25 (either in the parameter fields or the VCS). It seems that a scaling expression has to be included to reach 0 and 1.
Tough I´m looking for a simple possibility to use my sounds with the Space Mouse avoiding to modify the scaling all the time. I´m using OSCulator with it´s Kyma CC´s.

Many thanks in advance,
Martin

When a controller doesn't quite give you the full range, one possibility is to stretch the extremes of the control using an into: array. In your example, you could us a SoundToGlobalController to map:

!SpaceX into: #({0.25@0} {0.5@0.5} {0.75@1})

to generate another control that has the full (0,1) range.

Thank you that works!

Though I´m looking for an overall solution using the Space Mouse, instead of tweaking my sounds all individually with the SoundToGlobalController. Thinking that there should a more simpler possibility I changed the !Volume expression in the Global Map into:

!Volume is: (`MIDIController07 into: #({0.25@0} {0.5@0.5} {0.75@1})).

But somehow it doesn´t work like this...

If all you need is scaling, I thought there were some scaling options in OSCulator?
Command+f to flip the view and see the scaling page.

This is exactly what I was looking for.
I´m not so firm with OSCulator, and this was very helpful.
Many thanks,
Martin
