![]() ![]() ![]() Hi everyone, For now I use a analogue mixer, and thinking of going to the digital domain? I don't know if it is possible when you need more then 8 inputs to do mixing and recording in Kyma in combination with another audio interface via ASIO? Personally I like to see some kind of audio interface expander for the Capybara (up to 48 in's and out's) then I don't need ASIO (hurrah!). This is just an ideal thought. Maybe it is a strange approach to do this with Kyma. But for the way I work, I don't see why not! Here's why. Maybe it's sound a bit of old fasion, but I'm more familiar in the analogue world. So I'm not using any softsynth's or plug-in's and I don't want to, with exeption of Kyma of course. The way I use Kyma now is mainly as a effect-processor and some granular sound's at a very simple level, for now. -Armand IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() "I don't know if it is possible when you need more then 8 inputs to do mixing and recording in Kyma in combination with another audio interface via ASIO?" It might be possible to add a couple more channels, but you would start running into bandwidth problems doing 48 channels in software. So your idea of a hardware i/o expansion might be the ideal solution. It is certainly a possibility for some time in the future... Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions! IP: Logged |
